Artist In Residence (AIR) Program
EC-CHAP is currently accepting applications for a one (1) year Artist Residency
The Eastern Connecticut Center for History, Art, and Performance, Inc. (EC-CHAP) is a 501.c.3 nonprofit cultural organization located at The Mill Works, historic landmark in Wilington, CT. EC-CHAP operates the Dye & Bleach House Community Gallery, the Gardiner Hall Jr History Museum, The Packing House performance venue, and offers an Artist-In-Residence (AIR) Program.
The Artist In Residence (AIR) Program is designed to bring established as well as emerging artists of all disciplines to EC-CHAP to showcase their work to a regional audience; to give them a chance to create new work by providing studio space; and lastly, to develop a collaborative partnership in an effort to advance the EC-CHAP Mission and long-term Vision.
The Artist Residency is an ongoing program that is made possible through EC-CHAP’s commitment to engage the senses, ignite the creative spirit, and support the original work of all artists. The Dye & Bleach House Community Gallery provides exhibition space for visual artists. Opportunities to present work in areas of performance, spoken word, dance, and film at The Packing House may be discussed with an artist once their application has been reviewed.
